Miami Marlins Logo

What you're looking at is one of the logos that will be for the new Miami Marlins when the club moves into its new stadium and begins play there in 2012. The rename of "Miami" was part of the deal for public funding for the new stadium.

The rainbow colors tie into the new stadium pallette that sees colored sections throughout the new facility.

The Biz of Baseball contacted the Marlins about the logo. "We have no comment. We plan on releasing our new logo to the public on Nov. 11."

More details when the off-season begins in November.

Leak Source
written by T.J. Marshall, September 21, 2011
For the record, this logo was NOT leaked via the Chris Creamer website. Someone found it from another source and posted it there. Thus the actual 'leak' came from elsewhere.

Looks like the Disneyworld monorail making a hairpin turn around an old faded billboard for Aquafresh. Yikes!

Yikes!

First question: Was the designer color blind?
second question: Was the designer on drugs?
Third question: Do they really think people will buy stuff with this logo printed on it?
Fourth question: Do they really think the team will be happy being the laughing stock of the league?
Fifth & final question: This is a joke... right?!?

What were they smoking
written by Limey, September 25, 2011
I think this will probably result in the team being called the "Mescaline Marlins" ... I would not only fire the guy that designed it but also punish his family, friends and co-workers for letting him submit it! As far as Loria is concerned he has to be color blind to let this through.

It's like someone from the 1980s made this logo with what they imagined the 2010s would look like.

Logo Sucks
written by Mongo Miranda, September 28, 2011
Hey guys!!!!! This is an insult to the 97/03 Fans and Teams... We can do better than that, lets get a nice logo and decent players on the field... Luria is now your turn to deliver, lets put a good product on the field, hope you understand that you are no longer a farm house team for the Red Socks... The ball is in your side of the court... U R very lucky to wear that 2003 Team... Luria please be a fan!!!!!

This ugly? Impossible
written by WHY?, November 12, 2011
I am a designer for 14 years, I do LOVE to make logos, I understand that there's a "concept" an artistic take on this logo, as well beauty, but for a Baseball team? LOOKS LIKE SH*T ... How in the world they approved this?? Sad sad ..
