In October of last year, we ran the first in a series of “The Art of…” segments, based on historic ballpark seats up for auction by Hunt Auctions. On Sat., we ran a second installment looking at some great antique baseball pinball machines.
Hunt Auctions is conducting a sports memorabilia and collectable cards public auction on Fri. and Sat. Feb 26 and 27 in King of Prussia, PA at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The highlighted piece is a 1978 Reggie Jackson game worn World Series jersey (look for a separate story on this shortly)
Today, we’re going to tap back into that simplest of ballpark functions, the place to park your rear, yes… the ballpark seat. These wooden pieces of history, sitting against nothing but a flat background, seem to jump out and remind us of a bygone era and are part of the collection up for grabs at the Hunt Auction event.
