MLBFive Yankee players, including World Series MVP Hideki Matsui have elected for free agency today, as part of Article XX B (2) of the Basic Agreement. The other Yankee players include Johnny Damon, Eric Hinske, Jose Molina, and Xavier Nady as part of 31 total players that have filed since the process began.

The NLCS winning Philadelphia Phillies alos see four players filing.
