In cities where Big-4 professional sports franchises call home, the local team may rule the roost, but when it comes to out-of-market brand recognition, the New York Yankees beat all comers, according to an annual report by Turnkey Sports & Entertainment. In their annual report, the Yankees were tops, followed by the Green Bay Packers, and Boston Red Sox for the most popular brand outside of the team’s home market. The Yankees held the same claim last year, as well.
