Philadelphia Phillies President David Montgomery, General Manager Pat Gillick and Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski were among those manning the shovels yesterday morning to break ground on a new $34 million, 7000 seat facility that will be the new home for the Phillies Triple-A club that is now Scranton - Wilkes Barre Red Barons.

The Phillies' agreement to send Triple-A prospects to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will be over at the end of this season.

The new facility is scheduled to be open in 2008
