Atlanta BravesAs reported yesterday, Time Warner and Liberty Media have finalized details of a large complex agreement, with the sale of the Atlanta Braves as a key component of the deal. Today, Braves president Terry McQuirk weighed in on how the change in ownership might effect the day-to-day operations of the franchise. As reported by the AP:

"Yes, I think as an operating theory this is what is contemplated," McGuirk said. "I've used the word transparent. I think that is a good description of how it will affect the organization. I think there will be no changes."

As further reported, the deal must go through several hurdles before approved, including approval from MLB's ownership committee, executive council, and then by a 3/4 majority vote, MLB owners must approve the deal.

"I can't characterize how baseball will review this," McGuirk said. "It's up to baseball. As it was stated, application has been submitted and it's up to baseball to deal with it."
